PLANNING PROMISE

For DC couples + nationwide destination weddings

At K Bella Events, we believe true luxury begins with fully anticipating your needs. This Planning Promise is a clear, considered outline of how we protect your investment, your experience, and your peace of mind—whether you’re celebrating in Washington DC, Virginia, or at any destination where we work.

RETAINER & DATE RESERVATION

Once you decide to partner with us, a non‑refundable retainer formally reserves your event dates and opens our studio calendar for your design and planning work. This retainer reflects the time, creative direction, and access we commit exclusively to you.

THOUGHTFUL CANCELLATION TERMS

Because a significant portion of our work happens well before your wedding day, our fees are structured on a tiered schedule that balances flexibility for you with protection for the work already completed.

If the event is canceled:

  • 120+ days before the event date: 40% of the total planning fee is owed
  • 91–120 days before the event date: 60% of the total planning fee is owed
  • 31–90 days before the event date: 80% of the total planning fee is owed
  • 30 days or fewer before the event date: 100% of the total planning fee is owed

These amounts reflect the time, design, and production efforts invested at each stage of the process.

USE OF IMAGERY & STORYTELLING

We elegantly document our work so we can continue to inspire future celebrations. Our clients grant K Bella Events permission to use imagery of the event—details, décor, and overall scenes—for our portfolio, social media, submissions, and press features. When a higher level of privacy is desired, we are happy to discuss limited or no‑share options.

INVESTMENT TRANSPARENCY & EXPENSES

We manage your planning fee and event expenses with the same care we would our own. All travel, vendor deposits, and custom purchases are discussed in advance, approved by you, and documented with clear invoices. There are no surprise charges—only considered decisions made together.

PROTECTION & PEACE OF MIND

Our intention is always to protect both your celebration and our work. Our liability in connection with planning and design services is limited to the amount of planning fees paid to K Bella Events. In the rare event of circumstances beyond anyone’s control—such as extreme weather, government restrictions, or other force majeure events—we work with you and your vendor team to adjust plans as gracefully as possible within the terms of your agreement.
